Original art of Thomas William Jones became the exclusive design for my book, "Seasons Greetings from the White House."
This 2016 ornament commemorates the twentieth anniversary of the book, Season’s Greetings from the White House. The cover of my book and the centerpiece of my ornament is an original commissioned art by Thomas William Jones, who describes himself as a representational impressionist.
Jones is an American visual artist who was chosen by President and Mrs. Reagan to paint four State Rooms in the White House. The paintings included the Blue Room, the East Room, the State Dining Room, and the North Entry Hall which were then reproduced on their official Christmas cards by Hallmark.
I interviewed the accomplished vintage watercolorist in his home in Snohomish Washington as part of the research for my book. The 2016 White House Holidays ornament complements the book, Seasons Greetings from the White House, and makes a great gift set for the holidays.
